GRAY — The National Weather Service says folks should enjoy the snow they got this week, because there won’t be a follow-up storm this weekend.

Meteorologist Mike Kistner said a storm that’s been hyped for Sunday night will head out to sea, missing Maine. He said the coast will get 1 to 2 inches at the most.

Kistner said others started talking about the storm prematurely.

He said it’s difficult to track with precision what’s going to happen five days out. But he said the state remains in an active weather pattern, so there could be more storms in the not-too-distant future.
