ROCKPORT — Ally Day scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead No. 9 Gardiner to a 61-52 win against No. 8 Camden Hills in an Eastern Maine Class B preliminary round girls basketball game Tuesday night.

Rachel Quirion added 13 points and six rebounds for the Tigers while Abby Dunn scored 12 points and added six rebounds.

Madie Bowman led Camden Hills (11-8) with 19 points while Rachel Pease scored 14 and Charlotte Messer 10.

Gardiner (12-7) advances to play top-seeded Presque Isle on Saturday at the Cross Center in Bangor.

No. 8 DIRIGO 48, No. 9 MONMOUTH 42: The Cougars rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half to earn a trip to the quarterfinals. Lauren Henderson led Dirigo (12-7) with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Paxton Lessard scored 12 points for Monmouth (11-8) on four 3-pointers.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

CMCC 89, UMA 68: Mt. Blue graduate Gabby Foy scored the first 10 points of the game and the Lady Mustangs never looked back in a Yankee Small College Conference game Tuesday.

Foy finished with a game-high 28 points for CMCC (21-1, 13-0) while Madison graduate Samantha Bruce added 15 points.

Richmond graduate Jamie Plummer scored 20 points to lead the Moose while Monmouth grad Jenn Lola and Arreonte Lee each scored 19 points.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

COLBY 101, UMPI 66: Connor O’Neil scored 21 points to go with seven rebounds and six assist to lead the Mules to the non-confernce win in Waterville. Chris Hudnut added 21 points and eight rebounds for Colby (13-9) while Patrick Stewart scored 17 points.

Michael Warner led the University of Maine at Presque Isle (8-14) with 14 points.
