AUGUSTA — Lipman & Katz, a downtown Augusta law firm, has hired a Bangor native with a financial background as an attorney.

The attorney, Christopher Wright, most recently worked as a derivatives trader in New York City and will help the law firm’s senior partners with complex probate concerns, litigation matters and business transactions, according to a release from the law firm.

Wright earned his bachelor of arts degree in economics from Dartmouth College in 2001 and his juris doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in 2010. He lives in the Augusta area with his wife, Sonja, and two children.
