Cumberland Farms is holding grand opening ceremonies at convenience stores in Gardiner and Winthrop this week, kicking off four-week-long fundraisers for local projects.
The ceremony at the remodeled location on Bridge Street in Gardiner will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m., and City Manager Scott Morelli and Mayor Thomas Harnett are expected to attend, according to a release from the company.
The Gardiner store will donate 10 cents from every hot coffee purchase to the gazebo fundraising effort. Groups raising money for the new gazebo being built in the Gardiner Common are nearing their goal of $52,700.
The ceremony at the Winthrop store on Upper Main Street will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m., and 10 cents from every hot coffee purchase will be donated to the Winthrop Food Pantry.
