VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Gardiner Area High School sophomore Peter Del Gallo was runner-up in the sophomore 113-pound weight class at the National Wrestling Championship on Sunday.
Del Gallo lost a close match in the finals, 4-3, to Josh McClure of Missouri. DelGallo beat Ozzy Lugo of Florida, 16-0, to advance to the finals.
In February, DelGallo won his second consecutive state title, moving up from 106 pound to 113.
