Some KJonline.com and Onlinesentinel.com readers over the weekend and into Monday morning weren’t able to access the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel websites because of a server issue related to their internet provider.
The connection problem mostly affected customers of Fairpoint.com in the Winthrop, Mount Vernon and Vassalboro areas, according to numerous readers of the websites.
The issue was fixed by late Monday morning.
Fairpoint spokesman Jeff Nevins said he was not aware of any reports of connection problems in the area. He said Fairpoint customers should contact the company if they experience problems with their service.
