FairPoint Communications, Inc. has expanded broadband service to 74 homes and businesses in the towns of Litchfield and West Gardiner, according to a release from the company.

FairPoint’s high-speed Internet is available for the first time to customers on portions of the following roads: In Litchfield, on Bass Lane, Buffee Landing Lane, Davis Lane, Gordon Lane, Keziah Lane, Lunts Hill Road, Penney Lane, Plains Road, Stevenstown Road and Washington Lane. In West Gardiner, it’s on Cain Lane, Indiana Road, Lawson Drive and Pond Road.

FairPoint has invested more than $700 million in its communications infrastructure and technology to expand its coverage and upgrade its network in northern New England since 2008, according to the release.
