Two hurt in
Richmond rollover
RICHMOND — Two people were hurt Wednesday when their car hit a rock and overturned on Dingley Road.
The driver, 26-year-old Lee Reynolds of Litchfield, was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with what were believed to be serious but non life-threatening injuries, said Richmond Police Chief Scott MacMaster. Reynolds has since been released from the hospital.
A passenger, 23-year-old Donald Murrin of Richmond, was taken by ambulance to CMMC.
The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m., as Reynolds drove his Chevrolet Equinox west toward Richmond. The sport utility vehicle went off the right side of the road, where it hit a rock and rolled over.
Police continue to investigate what caused the car to leave the road.
“We believe it may be alcohol related,” MacMaster said.
The vehicle was destroyed.
It is the second serious crash involving Reynolds in just two months. In February, a Camden man was killed when the Jeep he was driving crossed the center line on snow-covered Route 17 in Somerville and hit the box truck Reynolds was driving head on. Reynolds was not hurt in that crash.
