BUCKFIELD — Richmond sophomore Mike Stewart pitched a no-hitter to lead the Bobcats to an 11-0 win against Buckfield in an East/West Conferemce baseball game called after six innings due to the mercy rule.

Stewart struck out 12, walked three and his teammates committed one error. Richmond freshman Matt Holt led the Bobcats at the plate with a single, double and two RBIs. Richmond is 3-0, Buckfield is 0-3.

NOKOMIS 2, ERSKINE 0: Zack Ramsdell held the Eagles to three hits in the KVAC Class B win for the Warriors in South China. Noah Kershner singled, doubled and drove in a run for Nokomis while Ramsdell drove in the other run. Ramsdell finished with four strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter while Ryan Rodrigue fanned 11 and walked two for Erskine and singled and doubled. Nokomis is 3-2, Erskine is 1-4.

HAMPDEN 4, COJNY 2: Three Hampden pitchers held the Rams to three hits in a KVAC Class A game in Augusta. Casey Sudbeck got the win with relief form Dan Good and Matt Martin while Billy Campbell singled home a pair of runs for the Bronocs. Mitchell Bonenfant went the distance for the Rams, allowing four hits while striking out five. Cony scored on a double steal and an error. Cony is 0-5, Hampden is 2-3.

MONMOUTH 17, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 inn.: The host Mustangs broke the MVC contest open with seven runs in the third inning. Four Monmouth pitchers combined to allow one hit with starter Nate Gagne picking up the win. Brandon Goff, Hunter Richardson and Jariah Caissie had two apiece for Monmouth (4-0). Boothbay is 0-4.

HALL-DALE 9, WISCASSET 3: Tyler Dubois had three hits and Ryan Sinclair singled and doubled to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Wiscasset.

Taylor Lockhard, Quinn Stebbins and Bobby Cumler each had two hits for Hall-Dale (4-2) as well.

Wiscasset dropped to 2-3.

SOFTBALL

OAK HILL 22, ST. DOM’S 1, 5 inn.: The Raiders scored seven runs in the first and eight in the fourth en route to the MVC win in Auburn. Kayla Veilleux singled three times and doubled for the winners while Kelsey Collins added four singles and Hannah Nadeau and Sadie Goulet two hits each. Winning pitcher Lauren Beganny allowed two hits, both to Jacqueline Schmitz., Oak Hill is 2-4, St. Dom’s is 0-4.

NOKOMIS 7, ERSKINE 1: Taylor Shaw had three hits and Natasha Howard bashed a two-run home run to lead the Warriors past the Eagles in a KVAC B game in South China.

Sierra Fortin, Sara Packard and Becky Orcutt each had doubles for Nokomis (5-0).

Mallory Chamberlain had two singles for Erskine (0-5).

CONY 17, HMAPDEN 0, 5 inn.: The Rams collected 13 hits in five innings in downing the Broncos in KVAC Class A action in Augusta. Winning pitcher Arika Brochu had a pair of doubles and knocked in two runs while Kassidy Turgeon, Michayla Dostie and Alyssah Dennett each singled and doubled. Cony is 5-0, Hampden is 3-2.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 18, EDWARD LITTLE 4: Sydney Gagne, Ally Fischang and Mikayla Turner scored three goals apiece to lead the Eagles to the Class A win in Auburn. Kristen Kern, Lucy Guarnieri, Emily Hogan and Nathalie St. PIerre scored two goals each for the winners while Abby Roberts added one. Fran Haines socred three goals for EL. Sydni Collier and Gaby Languet combined for three saves in goal for Messalonskee (1-1) while Rianna Rower made four for Edward Little (0-2).

RICHMOND 15, BUCKFIELD 3: The Bobcats scored in every inning but one in beating the Bucks in Buckfield.

Winning pitcher Meranda Martin had two singles, a triple and three RBIs while Kelsie Obie, Kelsea Anair, Autumn Acord and Emily Douin each doubled. Richmond is 3-0, Buckfield is 2-2.

MONMOUTH 29, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 inn.: The Mustangs scored 14 runs in the first and 10 in the second for the MVC win in Monmouth. Caroline Bonenfant had three hits for Monmouth while Sarbina Beck, Shannon Buzzell and Haley Fletcher had two each, Monmouth is 2-1, Boothbay is 0-4.

GARDINER 21, WATERVILLE 0, 5 inn.: The Tigers scored eight runs in the second and 10 in the fifth for the KVAC Class B win in Waterville. Bri Brochu led Gardiner’s 21-hit attack with two singles and two triples. Kristal Smith and Brittany Rollins each dobled twice while Morgan Carver added two singles and a double and Lilly Chepke and Nicole Chadwick each had a pair of hits.

Gardiner is 5-0, Waterville is 0-5.
