RICHMOND

April 23 a tractor trailer hit the guard rail and went down an embankment while on the exit 43 on-ramp onto Interstate 95. Police say the driver went off the road after he became dizzy and blacked out. There were no injuries or charges.

April 27 a 33-year-old Mexican national was taken into custody by immigration officials after a traffic stop on Interstate 295. The man was deported from the U.S. at the Texas border in December 2013 and re-entered the US illegally. Immigration officials said he would be deported again within 10 days.

A 36-year-old woman was charged with operating a vehicle with expired registration more than 150 days during a traffic stop for an inspection violation on Route 197.

Friday a 50-year-old Topsham woman was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle more than 150 days during a traffic stop on Interstate 295.

SIDNEY

April 25 police responded to a party in a field at the end of Lewis Road. Police broke up the party and put out the fire. There were no charges.

April 29 there were vandalism complaints on West River and Town Farm roads. Someone used yellow, white and blue paint on the street signs. Police notified the State Department of Transportation.

There was a report of a stolen vehicle from Middle Road.

April 24 there was a report of a burglary on Webber Pond Road. The home was unlocked at the time.

April 30 a 46-year-old Lewiston man was charged with displaying a fictitious inspection sticker during a traffic stop on Route 126 for a seat belt violation.

Friday police responded to a report of a stolen trailer. The black car trailer with a wooden deck was taken from Collins-Mills Road. The investigation is ongoing.

Thursday a 2004 Toyota Sequoia being driven north on East River Road by a 50-year-old Jefferson man hit a deer.

Friday a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee being driven by a 55-year-old Warren man was hit from behind by a 2005 Chevrolet Impala being driven by a 27-year-old Sidney woman as the Jeep was stopped in traffic at a construction site on Rockland Road. The woman told police she fell asleep.
