BELFAST — Danny Pooler’s two-run single in the top of the seventh inning gave Waterville a 2-0 win against Belfast in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B baseball game Friday.

tCam Gardiner and Alan Wood each had two hits for Waterville (6-1). Dalton Wood earned the shutout on the mound for the Panthers, striking out seven batters.

Lucien Gordley-Smith had two singles for Belfast (3-4).

BREWER 6, SKOWHEGAN 2: Evan Riva struck out 10 and allowed one hit in a complete game gem to lead the Witches to the KVAC A victory in Skowhegan.

Riva walked just three. He took a no-hitter into the sixth before Chase Nelson hit a two-run double for the Indians (2-5).

Matt Pushard hit two doubles for Brewer (2-5).

LISBON 6, MADISON 5: After Madison scored five runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead, Lisbon answered with four unearned runs in the bottom of the inning, winning the MVC game on a walkoff passed ball.

Madison (2-5) committed nine errors in the game. Derek LeBlanc had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Ryley Austin earned the win in relief for Lisbon (4-2).

CARRABEC 12, WISCASSET 7: Christian Miller had three singles to lead the Cobras to a win over the Wolverines in North Anson.

Levi Murray earned the win on the mound for Carrabec (3-3), striking out five batters.

Darren Wood had three hits for Wiscasset (3-3).

SOFTBALL

WINSLOW 6, LINCOLN 4: Jenna Petrovic homered and Brooke Haskell doubled twice to lead the Black Raiders to the KVAC Class B win in Winslow. Petrovic drove in two runs while Haskell scored twice and Paige Veilleux singled twice with an RBI. Miranda Achorn and Danielle Pinkham homered fro Lincoln (6-1). Hillary Libby poicked up the pitching win with five innings of two-hit relief with five strikeouts. Winslow is 5-2.

BREWER 13, SKOWHEGAN 12: Skowhegan trailed 9-0 in the third inning but put the potential tying run on second base in the seventh inning before falling short to the Witches.

The Indians (5-2), who had five errors in the first three innings, scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Taylr Johnson went 5 for 5, including two doubles, and Emma Fitzgerald had three singles to lead Skowhegan.

Kayla Williams had a double for Brewer (4-3).

BOYS LACROSSE

MESSALONSEE 17, DEERING 1: Albert Languet and Ben Weeks scored three goals and added two assists apiece to lead the Eagles to the Class A win in Portland. Dan Condon and Ryan Erskine each had two goals and two assists while Jordan Holes added two goals. Eric Van Der Karr and Dylan Jones each had a goal and an assist while Josh Yannelli had two goals and an assist and Jack Bernatchez a goal. Jake Smith made 12 saves in goal for Messalonskee (5-1). Deering is 1-4.
