STOCKTON SPRINGS — Police say one person has died and three others have been hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Stockton Springs.
The victim of the crash at about 3:30 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 1 was identified by authorities as 79-year-old Philip Grindle. He was the driver of one of the vehicles and was traveling alone.
The three injured people were taken to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast with what police are calling serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Their names were not made public.
Investigators tell WABI-TV that one of the cars crossed the center line.
The crash remains under investigation.
