RICHMOND — Richmond scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull out a 3-2 win over Buckfield in East/West Conference baseball action Thursday.

Cameron Emmons, Tyler Soucy, Mike Stewart and Matt Holt had four straight singles to tie the game at 2 before Bailey Johansen delivered the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly.

Brendan Emmons went the distance for the pitching win, striking out seven. Jonah Williams fanned 10 in taking the loss. Buckfield is 4-4, Richmond is 7-1.

HALL-DALE 10, MTN. VALLEY 0, 5 innings: Brian Allen pitched a one-hitter and struck out seven to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale. Bobby Cumler led Hall-Dale hitters with two singles, a double and three RBIs while Alex McPherson singled twice. Allen doubled and Taylor Lockhart and Tyler Dubois each knocked in two runs. Mountain Valley is 2-10, Hall-Dale is 6-6.

MONMOUTH 5, DIRIGO 1: Nate Gagne allowed four hits and struck out 12 to lead the Mustangs to the MVC win in Dixfield on Wednesday. Alex Curtis doubled twice and drove in two runs to lead Monmouth (10-1) hitters while Kyle Fletcher picked up a save and doubled in a run. Tyler Frost and Anthony Todd had two hits apiece for Dirigo (9-2).

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 7, LEWISTON 6: Bayleigh Logan scored four goals and Emily Quirion had three to lead the Rams to the Class A win in Augusta.

Hayley Quirion added an assist for Cony (6-2) while goalies Izzy Eames and Lizzy Dennison each had four saves. Jess Cote scored three goals to lead Lewiston (5-3) while Sam Cote made 11 saves.

MESSALONSKEE 15, MT. ARARAT 11: Sydney Gagne scored five goals to lead the host Eagles to the Class A win.

Kristen Kern added three goals and an assist for the winners while Mikayla Turner had two goals and two assists. Nathalie St. Pierre had two goals and an assist, India Languet two goals and Ally Fischang two assists. Sierra Gilley led Mt. Ararat with seven goals.

Sydni Collier made seven saves for Messalonskee (6-2) while Bailey Sullivan made 12 for Mt. Ararat (4-5).

BOYS LACROSSE

CONY 7, MT. ARARAT 5: Bronson Kieltyka scored three goals and added two assists to lead the Rams to the 7-5 Class A win in Topsham on Wednesday. Dan Erbe, Jon Bennett, Jon Saban and Brett Sproul each added a goal for Cony while Kevin Kingsbury had two assists and Austin Davis had one. Isaac Gingras made seven saves in goal for Cony (6-3). Mt. Ararat is 7-3.

SOFTBALL

HALL-DALE 3, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: Kayla Johnson had two singles to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Falcons.

Olivia Maynard earned the win for Hall-Dale (10-2), striking out three batters.

Karissa Murphy had two hits for Mountain Valley (8-4).

RICHMOND 13, BUCKFIELD 2: The Bobcats scored nine runs in the sixth inning en route to the East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Winning pitcher Meranda Martin allowed three hits while Kalah Patterson had a pair of singles for the Bobcats. Richmond is 9-0, Buckfield is 5-5.
