SKOWHEGAN — Junior Trey Michonski pitched a complete-game five-hitter to lead Skowhegan to a 3-0 win against Mt. Ararat in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A baseball action Thursday.

Michonski walked one and struck five en route to his first win of the season. D.J. Allen provided a two-run double for the Indians in the first inning and later singled while Chase Nelson drove in the third run with a scarifice fly in the fifth. Riley Kons had a pair of hits for Mt. Ararat (2-10). Skowhegan is 4-8.

SOFTBALL

SKOWHEGAN 8, MT. ARARAT 0: Kaitlyn Therriault pitched a three-hit shutout with no walks and 10 strikeouts as the Indians blanked the Eagles in Skowhegan.

Therriault and Andrea Quirion, who homered, each drove in two runs for the Indians (9-3). Mikayla Toth, Eliza Bedard, and Renee Wright each singled twice.

Devon Hutchins had two singles for Mt. Ararat (2-9).

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 15, MT. ARARAT 11: Sydney Gagne scored five goals to lead the host Eagles to the Class A win.

Kristen Kern added three goals and an assist for the winners while Mikayla Turner had two goals and two assists. Nathalie St. Pierre had two goals and an assist, India Languet two goals and Ally Fischang two assists. Sierra Giley led Mt. Ararat with seven goals.

Sydni Collier made seven saves for Messalonskee (6-2) while Bailey Sullivan made 12 for Mt. Ararat (4-5).
