Maine’s spring wild turkey hunting season is set to end.

The season ends on Saturday after beginning on April 28. Hunters in wildlife management districts seven and nine through 29 are limited to two bearded wild turkeys, while hunters in districts one through six and district eight are limited to one. Hunters can use a bow and arrow, crossbow or shotgun in the spring.

The fall’s wild turkey hunt is scheduled for Oct. 2 to Oct. 31. Hunters in that season may use only bow and arrow or shotgun. Wildlife management districts one through 11, and districts 14, 19 and 27 will be closed to hunting in the fall.
