Corporations have religious beliefs, have religious sentiments? What absurd nonsense! What insanity!

Corporations are man-made legal constructions, artificial creations for the purpose of doing business. Corporations are not people, are not human beings, are not “natural persons” and thus cannot have and do not have beliefs or sentiments.

What corporations do have are policies and an appetite, an appetite for profits, power and control. The Hobby Lobby decision by the conservative wing of the U.S. Supreme Court continues the recent pattern of feeding these corporate appetites to the great detriment of the human citizens of this country and to our democracy.

This destructive pattern must stop or we will lose our government, our democracy even further to the wealthy and powerful and to the corporations that they control. The United States desperately needs laws, perhaps a constitutional amendment, that clearly states that corporations are not people and do not have the inherent rights of natural persons.
