Some people are mortified when they get their mug shot taken after an arrest.

Robert Burt, 19, of Pittsfield decided to have his booking photo emblazoned on a T-shirt.

Then he showed up wearing the shirt the next time he went to jail.

Burt was pulled over by a Somerset County sheriff’s deputy in Hartland on June 14 and charged with driving under the influence. He was booked into the Somerset County Jail and then released on bail.

He had a photographic image of his mug shot put on an orange T-shirt. When he showed up Aug. 8 to serve his 48-hour sentence, and had a new mug shot taken, he was wearing the shirt.

Burt may have had relatives also doing time behind bars. Beneath the booking photo on his T-shirt, Burt had printed, “Family Reunion, 8/8 – 8/10/2014.”
