WATERVILLE — Police Monday afternoon were looking for a man who allegedly assaulted another man on College Avenue and fled the scene.

Emmanual Hurtado, 23, of College Avenue, is wanted on a warrant, according to police Chief Joseph Massey.

The assault victim called police at 2:04 p.m. to report he had been injured in the head by another man, Massey said. Police found the victim at 181 College Ave. and while he said he did not want to press charges, police learned that the man who allegedly assaulted him, Hurtado, was wanted on a warrant. The victim was taken by Delta Ambulance to Thayer Center for Health on North Street.
