Dozens of people attended the meeting about a missile base, to be built allegedly to guard against the non-threat of Iran, according to an online article on Aug. 12, “Franklin County residents seek information on possible missile interceptor base.”
This is the most idiotic, colossal waste of money since the F-35. It will ruin a beautiful area I know well between Saddleback and Sugarloaf Mountains. It will have giant, negative impacts on local towns.
Of course Sen. Susan Collins would push this; she couldn’t even get the Iraq war vote right in 2002. We would need a trillion dollars just for infrastructure work.
This “Iran threat” exists in the heads of those who told us Saddam Hussein would have mushroom clouds over us all.
We need to fight this. It’s clinical insanity.
