KINGFIELD — Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ Mobile Appraisal Coach will roll into Kingfield for an antiques appraisal fundraiser event set from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at the Kingfield branch of Skowhegan Savings Bank. The fundraiser is hosted by the Kingfield Bicentennial Planning Committee.

Local participants will receive instant, on-site valuations by appraisers Kaja Veilleux and John D. Bottero for antique or collectible items brought to the coach. Suggested donation is $5 per item or $20 for five items. All proceeds will benefit the Kingfield Bicentennial 2016.

Participants are encouraged to bring items they want to have appraised. If items are too large to be transported, detailed photographs can be used to determine approximate value. There are no appointments, and each person will have a chance to meet with an appraiser on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Kingfield Bicentennial is a committee to oversee the planning and execution of a town-wide series of celebrations and observances to pay tribute to the historical events of Kingfield over the past 200 years.
