I have been very impressed with the work of Augusta Republican Rep. Matt Pouliot in his first term in the Maine Legislature.

Working across the aisle to solve the biggest problems in our community and our state, he has without a doubt earned another term. Pouliot was a tireless advocate for fixing Mount Vernon Avenue and his persistence has paid off.

He introduced and passed a bill to bring financial literacy education to our schools — just another sign that he is thinking about the next generation, not the next election. In all, 33 of the bills he sponsored or co-sponsored became law, which is a testament to his hard work and ability to work in a constructive and bipartisan manner. This November, let’s give Pouliot another term and see what else he can accomplish.
