Richard P. Butler of Southport, formerly of Farmingdale, and his twin brother Robert M. Butler of Houlton, recently participated in a Flight of Honor program trip from their winter home in Zephyrhills, Fla., to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II Memorial along with other memorial sites in the Washington area, along with more than 80 other veterans and their guardians. They were accompanied on the trip by two guardians who assisted them with traveling and Richard’s six daughters. Robert has a daughter, Lori Craig of Houlton. The Butler brothers celebrated their 89th birthday in May. The trip was provided at no expense through the Honor Flight Network.
