Fifield’s birdie broke a three-way tie between his team and Joe Alvarez/Mark Plummer, and Jason Gall/Scott Sirois. All three teams finished the second round at 10 under par.

In four ball play, each player hits his own ball throughout the tournament, but the low score on each hole counts.

In round two of the tournament, Fifield and O’Brien scored seven birdies to secure the three-way tie. It was the second straight Four-Ball Championship decided in a playoff. In 2013, Alvarez and Plummer took the win over Gall and Sirois.
