WILTON — The Tyngtown Tee Time was held Aug. 23 at the Wilson Lake Country Club.
The fifth annual scramble event kicked off with a bagpiper send off by Aiden Underwood.
The winners of the various golfing were: Lowest gross — John Cureton, Nancy Stowell, Linda and John Wentzell; lowest net — Pete Chamberlain, Lewi Chamberlain, Bruce Ibarguen, Dave Haeger; closest to pin: Lewi Chamberlain; longest drive man — John Cureton; longest drive ladies — Linda Wentzell; putting contest — Pete Benson.
Raffles and putting contests were ongoing during the morning. Lunch was served by the Tyngtown ladies under the tents. The Rogers brothers, Silas and Nolan, entertained guests with their string music sponsored by Nancy Cureton. The fundraiser was for the benefit of the Library, Wilton Early Childhood Center, downtown flowers children’s programs and scholarships.
