WATERVILE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer a certified Hospice Volunteer training beginning Monday, Oct. 4. If you are interested in sharing two-four hours a week with individuals and family members facing a life-threatening illness you can help make living each day a gift. Support may include: companionship, letter writing, life review, reading, compassionate listening, respite for the caregiver or bereavement support for family members.

Training classes will run Oct. 4, 6, 8, 11, 13 and 15. Saturday’s training will be held 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and weekdays will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. A pre-training interview is required as space is limited.
