I’m writing this letter to express my support for candidate Sen. Roger Katz, R-Augusta, as he seeks re-election to the state Senate for District 15.
Roger has been a longtime leader in Augusta, and a candidate that Republicans, independents and Democrats can all get behind. Roger was a great mayor and set a tone of light-hearted cooperation on the council, but was steadfast in his mission to make Augusta a better place to live and do business.
He’s done the same thing as senator, by helping clean up the mess at the Maine Turnpike Authority, helping bring natural gas to the area, and most importantly to me working with members of both parties for the good of the people.
We’ve had enough discontent in Maine politics, and we need to get behind candidates like Roger, who work across party lines to get things done for the people of Maine.
