Cristina Evers, a Democrat from China, is knocking on doors throughout District 79, giving residents of China, Benton, Albion and Unity Plantation an opportunity to meet this bright, capable, enthusiastic candidate and voice their concerns.
Cris grew up in the area and has worked in Maine banks from the age of 18, making her uniquely qualified by career and personal experience to meet the challenges of this economy.
When her bank downsized, Cris went from being a vice president and trust officer to unemployment after a career of more than 30 years.
Drastic changes brought heightened awareness of challenges others are facing personally and the state is facing financially. Cris supports programs that give a hand up, not a hand out, and believes welfare is intended as temporary support, not a way of life.
Cris is eager to serve the needs of the residents in House District 79.
