DAMARISCOTTA — The River Tripper will make one-hour tours to an aquaculture farm starting at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, in support of the Pemaquid Oyster Festival. Freshly shucked Pemaquid oysters will be served.

Boat trips leave every hour beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending with a 5:30 p.m. departure. Fares cost $15 for adults and $10 for children younger than 12.

These seven sailings will travel to the oyster operations of the Pemaquid Oyster Company, and will feature a docent from the Damariscotta River Association to answer questions. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Edward A. Myers Marine Conservation Fund.

The first tour will leave from the town dock, by the municipal parking lot. For this first tour only, reservations can be made by calling 888-635-4309. This tour will return to the Schooner Landing Restaurant and Marina, from which all subsequent tours will depart. All passengers will debark within the festival area, with no need to stand in line for entry.

For the six afternoon sailings, tickets will be sold at the gate of Schooner Landing Restaurant and Marina, between the two white tents, on a first-come, first-served basis. Passengers will receive a ticket with payment. Credit cards will not be accepted. The River Tripper is a Coast Guard certified vessel for 49 passengers.
