FAIRFIELD — Lawrence High School is in the midst of its 4th annual Food Drive. Each year students compete by class in events such as Hallway Decorations, Skit, Pep Rally cheers, and Float for the parade. For the past few years a friendly competition amongst the classes is encouraged to see which class could donate the most non-perishable food for local pantries. Students alone in the past three years have collected nearly 10,000 items. Monetary donations are also appreciated. Fairfield, Albion and Clinton food pantries bring trucks to the football game to load up all of the goods.
