GARDINER — Gay M. Grant of South Gardiner will host a launch event for her latest book, “Destination Unknown,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Gardiner Public Library.
“Destination Unknown,” a memoir written as creative nonfiction, tells the story of Patricia Phillips North and her experience as a child evacuee during World War II in England, according to a news release from the library. North, the subject of the memoir, will also be in attendance. The event will benefit the library’s Community Archives Room renovation.
Grant, also author of “Along the Kennebec: The Herman Bryant Collection,” is serving her first term in the Maine House of Representatives.
“Destination Unknown” is available at bookstores or from www.MaineAuthorsPublishing.com.
