I met Scott Strom, Republican from Pittsfield, in 2008 when considering to joining the Navy; Scott was the local recruiter. Scott was influential in my decision, since accomplishing so much in his career. He joined as a submariner and later volunteered as recruiter for central Maine, where he hoped to help build careers and opportunities for its residents. He also volunteered for a year’s tour in Iraq. As a single parent, Scott returned to this area because he wanted his boys to attend Maine Central Institute, the high school he attended.

Scott has made an effort to be active in politics and making a difference in people’s lives. Scott is running for representative of District 106. Scott cares about growth and success in the town he grew up in and loves. I greatly admire Scott Strom and I think that he will help to uphold Maine traditions.
