My condolences to the good people of Randolph. With redistricting, they no longer have Rep. Gay Grant, D-Gardiner, as their state representative. But I’m happy that Farmingdale will be represented by this affable and hard-working legislator.

Grant has shown leadership and support for programs for displaced workers and youth, for laws that protect the environment, for public employees and retirees, veterans, the elderly and the handicapped. She’s a Gardiner native who understands and cares about the people she represents.

She seems like she’s everywhere in the community, from lending her beautiful voice to services and celebrations to holding constituent meetings at the Gardiner Public Library. As a first-term legislator, her grasp of the issues facing Maine was impressive. Even more impressive is her research, diligence and willingness to listen to all sides of a debate. Re-elect Gay Grant to represent Gardiner and Farmingdale.
