Raymond Renner, who won an unopposed three-year term representing Readfield on the school board in June, is leaving.

He submitted his resignation, effective Oct. 31, from both the Regional School Unit 38 Maranacook area school committee as well as the town’s ad hoc public works committee.

Renner, who has lived in Readfield since 1985, is moving to Manchester.

The town select board accepted his resignation and is actively seeking candidates to appoint to fill the post until a replacement can be elected in June.

Anyone interested should contact the Readfield town clerk for an appointment application.

The town has four seats on the regional school board, and the members have staggered three-year terms.

The other Readfield representatives are David Greenham, who is chairman of the school committee, Stephen Hayes and John Blouin.
