Sen. Colleen Lachowicz, D-Waterville, is the first person I go to when I have critical issues that require action. Her job requires patiently listening to folks, like myself a young working class mom, and following through by attending hearings and meetings on our behalf. I feel like I have a voice. She actually understands where I’m coming from.

Her role in passing legislation that enhanced newborn infant health screening and included screening for congenital heart disease might not grab headlines, but it was important. It became a law because she took the time to pay attention to details.

Colleen has always shown concern for my family, ever since I was a teen, and continues to check in to make sure our questions are answered and our rights upheld.

With her re-elected, I’ll sleep better knowing Colleen is on the job in the Senate studying the issues that matter.
