Two years ago, I wrote about a few things voters probably don’t know about Sen. Roger Katz, R-Augusta. Here are a few more:

• Being a Maine senator is not easy, not always fun, sometimes a bit brutal. But Roger perseveres because he truly loves Maine and is compelled to make it the best state.

• He’s a year-round senator. When the Legislature is not in session, Roger attends town meetings, helps organizations, participates in community events, listens to constituents and much more.

• When challenged, Roger’s ready. He spends countless hours learning and researching to develop his stance on issues — often complicated, and rarely partisan. He then tries to build consensus. It’s give-and-take, and improvements happen.

Being married to Roger is challenging because I share him with the state Senate. But that’s OK. I can’t wait for Nov. 4 to help re-elect my husband, Roger Katz.
