Bill Dowling as mayor always listened and recommended what he thought was best for the residents of Augusta. One thing that Bill did that truly stands out is that he always made sure that taxes were maintained at a level people could afford. During the past two years, both Mike Byron and Dave Rollins have supported raising taxes tremendously, something that did not happen while Bill was mayor.

Having sat on the school board, I am aware of how hard Bill worked with the state to help Augusta get approved to build a new high school. If it had not been for Bill, we may not have this high school, which offers a beautiful educational environment for students and staff.

My brother-in-law Bill Dowling is a man of integrity with a good moral compass.
