Education will be a major issue in the next Legislature. That’s why I’ll be voting for David Bustin, a Democrat from Hallowell, for state Senate.

Bustin believes we need to improve education to create better job opportunities. That’s important to me as a mother with two daughters in Maine colleges.

Bustin believes that the cost of higher education needs to come down. We don’t want this generation to be saddled with enormous personal debt upon graduation. We want our college graduates to be able to stay in Maine and afford their college loans. I certainly want that for my daughters.

A former teacher, Bustin is an advocate for Maine’s education system. He will fight for fair education funding in the next Legislature.

On Nov. 4, I encourage voters in state Senate District 14 (Chelsea, Farmingdale, Hallowell, Gardiner, Manchester, Monmouth, Pittston, Randolph, Readfield, West Gardiner and Winthrop) to vote Dave Bustin.
