I am a Republican woman, an electrical designer and a mom with a 3-year-old daughter, and I am voting for Monica Castellanos.
Monica is a small business woman with great ideas for improving our economy and the Augusta public schools my daughter will enter soon. My biggest reason for supporting Monica has to do with her strong commitment to expanding women’s access to affordable health care and protecting women’s right to make their own health care decisions.
I know Monica would have voted for important legislation expanding women’s access to preventative breast and cancer screenings. That bill fell just four votes shy of passing in the last session (LD 1247, Roll Call vote 793). On the economy, education and women’s health — Monica will make a difference and is the best choice for Augusta.
