Rep. Jeff McCabe, D-Skowhegan, has earned my support to keep his District 85 seat in the House of Representatives.
He’s an experienced, talented and dedicated legislator with a solid work ethic who reaches across party lines to find balanced solutions to our problems. He respectfully listens to all the people in our district.
McCabe’s involved with initiatives involving job growth, property tax relief, supporting local agriculture, access to affordable health care for all Mainers, and environmental protections.
As assistant majority leader, he helped defeat proposed weak mining rules. He highlighted the importance of New Balance jobs in our community at an international trade meeting, backed the Skowhegan Main Street program to advocate releasing bond money earmarked for downtown improvements, and as Lake George Regional Park director, oversees a wonderful all-season recreational resource for all of central Maine.
