Charlotte Warren, who is running for state representative from Hallowell, Manchester and West Gardiner, is an effective leader who listens to and honors constituents of all ages.

During her tenure as mayor of Hallowell, she received with interest my young twins’ request to hold a “clean up day” of their city. Warren arranged to have my then 6-year-olds present their ideas to the Hallowell City Council, and a plan was born.

That beautiful May afternoon in 2012 not only resulted in a cleaner Hallowell, but it brought out the best in our neighbors, adults and children alike. Thanks to Charlotte Warren, my children received the Barry Timson Community Service Award, and learned that they could make their community a better place. Her brand of leadership sets a fine example for us all.

Please join me in voting for Democrat Charlotte Warren for our state representative on Nov. 4.
