Recently, the New York Times ranked Maine in the top three states for economic growth since the recession.

In 2010, Maine ranked 48th in the nation for wage growth and in just three years under the leadership of Gov. Paul LePage, we were ranked sixth for wage growth. Because of Gov. LePage’s welfare reform, 61 percent of people who are of working age and who are able to work are working, one of the highest employment-to-population ratios in the U.S.

Giving Maine businesses incentives to do business here and encouraging people to return to the workforce benefits the entire state. I would rather have a governor that makes some churlish comments and actually accomplishes his goals than some talking head who promises all things to all people and doesn’t follow through.

I am looking forward to the next four years of Gov. LePage’s leadership.
