A Farmington woman who reported that her prescription pills had been stolen was arrested on a felony drug charge for allegedly selling some of the pills.

Laura Elliott, 29, was arrested on a warrant on the class B charge of trafficking in scheduled drugs, said Deputy Chief Shane Cote of the Farmington Police Department.

Cote said Elliott first reported the pills stolen on Nov. 7, and the reported theft was being investigated by Officer Justin Blaise.

Cote said Blaise learned some of the pills were sold, not stolen. Cote would not say what kind of prescription pills they were.

Cote said Blaise called Elliott to tell her he held an arrest warrant for her, and she met him to surrender and was taken to the Franklin County jail.
