WATERVILLE — Inga Zimba recently was named the 2014 MEGAT Distinguished Student. Zimba is a 10-year-old fifth grader at the Albert S. Hall School in Waterville. She is intrigued by bees and the Colony Collapse Disorder. She has done extensive research on bees and designed a robotic bee, according to a news release from Tina Serdjenian, K-5 teacher of gifted and talented students. She combines her artistic and academic skills to make a difference. Zimba is the Maine recipient of the “Doodle for Google” competition for her age group. Her illustration reflects her art work about bees. Inga is the daughter of Yasameen and Travis Zimba.
