MADISON — The third annual Gingerbread Competition, sponsored by Weber Insurance, 63 Main St., recently was held, according to a news release by the insurance agency. The categories and winners include:

• Adult: Caroline Prevost, of North Anson, Decorator’s and People’s Choice, for her fallen fir tree and dome house.

• Children 5-8: Haley McFadyen, of North Anson, and Ivy Wess, of Madison. McFadyen won Decorator’s and People’s Choice for her barn and cows.

• Children 9-12: Ethan Knox, of Madison, won Decorator’s and People’s Choice, for his cabin in the woods.

• The group entries: Dillon Nelson and family, of Anson, Second Period Art Class Carrabec High School, Ethan Rowland and mother of Skowhegan, The Burns Family of Anson and Maplecrest Rehabilitation & Living Center of Madison. The winner of the Professional Award was Second Period Art Class Carrabec High School, and the People’s Choice was Maplecrest Rehabilitation & Living Center.

Charlotte Withee assisted Sharon Mellows, manager of Weber Insurance, with the displaying and helping people vote.
