EAST WILTON — Western Maine Community Action recently honored outgoing Board President Celeste Branham at its board meeting in Norway, while welcoming new Board President Norm Croteau. Branham, a Lewiston resident, served as board chair for three years, and represents the private sector on WMCA’s 15-member board, according to a news release from WMCA.

Branham is vice president for student and community services and director of the partnership for civic advancement at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Croteau praised Branham for her leadership and commitment to WMCA. In turn, Branham praised the staff and leadership of WMCA for its unwavering commitment to families in need in Oxford, Androscoggin,and Franklin counties. While Branham’s term as Board Chair has expired, her term as a board member is not over, and she will remain a member of the board’s executive committee.

WMCA’s incoming board chair, Norm Croteau, recently retired as Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford county’s district attorney. He has served on the WMCA board since 2011.

WMCA will celebrate 50 years of service in June 2015.
