Several days ago, the Morning Sentinel published a very nice article about Sarah Sugden being one of 10 finalists for the I Love My Librarian Award. Those of us who have had the opportunity to work with Sarah think this is a well-earned recognition of outstanding work, but, also, is not a surprise. I have had the opportunity to see what fantastic insight and talent she has.

When the Waterville Historical Society needed a new curator for the Redington Museum, Sarah was immediately considered for the volunteer position because of her interest in the city of Waterville and her intellectual knowledge of history in general. Sarah promptly accepted the offer to serve and has done a great job since. She has had many ideas for improvement of the museum displays and organized the 200th Anniversary Celebration Open House of the building of the Redington Home this year. Our society is proud of her service and extremely happy to have her intellect and enthusiasm as a member of our executive committee.
