My wife, Terri, and I thought we would go out early one morning to do some Christmas shopping.

As we walked through the aisle with funny Christmas hats, a man came up to us and asked if we had any children. With hesitation we said, “Yes, one; she’s 9.” He gave us a $100 bill. We both were amazed by his generosity. The spirit of Christmas is here.

He had just one simple request: We should tell others in the hope that other local business people who could would do the same. He didn’t ask that his name be mentioned, either.

We want to think this giving individual.
