RICHMOND — Young artists and their families recently gathered at Richmond Area Health Center for the Bridge of Opportunity Art Exhibition opening reception. Drawings, paintings and photographs by Creative Art & Writing students at Dresden Elementary School and Marcia Buker Elementary School lined the health center walls depicting varied perspectives on the new and old Maine Kennebec Bridge, according to a news release from the health center.

The event also included classical music, hors d’oeuvres and beverages at the cultured gathering. Among those viewing the students’ artwork were Regional School Unit 2 Superintendent Virgel Hammonds and Principal MaryHelen Williams, as well as Richmond Area Health Center providers Linda Hermans, M.D. and Elizabeth Rudenberg, D.O.

All are welcome to stop by the health center to view the artwork during business hours. The exhibit will be on display through March.
