AUGUSTA — It took a quarter for the Cony boys basketball team to get going Thursday night in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game against Skowhegan.

But once the Rams did they never stopped in a 68-47 win over the Indians.

Cony trailed 19-11 after the first quarter but then went on a 39-7 run to close out the victory.

Liam Stokes scored a game-high 19 points for the Rams (10-6) while Ben Leet chipped in with 14. Matt Murray had seven assists for Cony, which forced 27 turnovers.

Isaac Witham scored 12 points to lead Skowhegan (4-11).

WINTHROP 102, CARRABEC 34: Six different Ramblers scored at least eight points as Winthrop routed the Cobras in Mountain Valley Conference action.

Matt Sekerak led the charge for Winthrop (14-2) with 15 points, while Jacob Hickey chipped in with 14. Dakota Carter had an all-around strong game with eight points, nine rebounds, six steals and three assists.

Dustin Crawford was the lone Carrabec (1-15) player in double figures with 19 points.

RICHMOND 59, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 55: Cameron Emmons scored seven of his game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter as the Bobcats dealt the Guardians just their second loss of the season.

Emmons accounted for six of the 10 3-pointers for Richmond (9-4). Cody Tribbett added eight points for the Bobcats, while Tyler Soucy chipped in with four points and 10 rebounds.

Tim Yeaton had 15 points for Seacoast Christian (13-2), while Skyler Archer and Caleb LaCroix each finished with 13 points.

MADISON 64, MONMOUTH 59 (OT): The Bulldogs needed overtime to hold off the upset-minded Mustangs in MVC action.

Chase Malloy and Derek Leblanc led the way for Madison (13-3) with 23 and 22 points, respectively.

Luke Thombs led Monmouth (8-8) with 20 points, while Hunter Richardson finished with 13.

BOOTHBAY 63, HALL-DALE 47: The Seahawks took a 21-point lead into the fourth quarter and coasted from there for a MVC win over the Bulldogs.

Evan Hepburn led a balanced scoring attack for Boothbay (15-1) with 15 points, while Able Bryer finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.

Nat Crocker led Hall-Dale (11-5) with 11 points, while Bryson Camp, Ryan Sinclair and Wesley LaPointe each finished with nine.

RICHMOND 34, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 21: Sydney Tilton scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Bobcats beat the Guardians in Richmond.

Kelsea Anair scored nine points and had six rebounds, while Meranda Martin had five steals for Richmond (10-4).

Ali Morin and Laken Kerrigan each scored six points for Seacoast Christian (6-9).

CONY 40, SKOWHEGAN 39: Haley Ward scored 11 points and Cony shook off a tough first quarter to grab the KVAC A win.

Tracy Swanson scored 15 points to lead the Indians.

CHOP POINT 18, GRACE CHRISTIAN 17: Chop Point erased a three-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to score a win over Grace Christian.

Kayley Evans had seven points to lead Chop Point, while Kate Sullivan scored a game-high 13 points for Grace Christian (2-6).

MARANACOOK 70, NOKOMIS 31: Sarah Clough scored 18 of her game-high 26 points in the third quarter and Christine Miller added 18 to lead the Black Bears to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory. Catherine Sanborn scored 10 points for Maranacook as well, while Liz D’Angelo added eight points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Austin Leighton led Nokomis with nine points.

BOOTHBAY 45, HALL-DALE 32: The Bulldogs were within five points at halftime, but utlimately the Seahawks proved to be too tough in an MVC game in Farmingdale.

Page Brown, Morgan Crocker and Cagney O’Brien finished with 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Boothbay (16-1).

Dani Sweet had eight points and Madison Hallowell finished with seven for Hall-Dale (9-6).

MOUNT VIEW 33, ERSKINE 23: Halle Reynolds scored a game-high 16 points as the Mustangs outlasted the Eagles in South China.

Brooke Trippe chipped in with eight points for Mount View (3-12), while Malorie Weaver paced Erskine (1-14) with six points.
