NEW LONDON, N.H. — Meghan Smith scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the University of Maine at Farmington women’s basketball team to a 61-57 North Atlantic Conference win over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday.

Lindsay Ranquist scored 11 points and had five assists for the Beavers (8-11, 7-5 NAC).

Lexi Iannone scored 15 points for Colby-Sawyer (11-8, 8-4 NAC).

COLBY 60, TRINITY 42: The Mules held Trinity scoreless for nearly nine minutes in the first half and went on to beat the Bantams in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game in Waterville.

Carylanne Wolfington led Colby (13-5, 3-3 NESCAC) with a game-high 19 points. Hayley Driscoll and Brooke Chandor each added nine points for the Mules.

Mackenzie Griffin scored nine points for Trinity (6-12, 1-5 NESCAC).

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 67, THOMAS 34: Katie McAllister scored nine points for the Terriers in a loss to the Pilgrims in Henniker, N.H.

Tess McClenahan and Jordan Agger-Barnes scored six points each for Thomas (2-17, 1-11 NAC).

Kayla Lawlor scored 16 points for New England College (15-4, 9-3 NAC).

COLBY-SAWYER 84, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 70: Nick Hilton scored 16 points for the Beavers in a NAC loss to Colby-Sawyer in New London, N.H.

Pet Sumner scored 15 points for UMF (4-14, 3-9 NAC), while Uriah Forest-Bulley added 13 points.

Koang Thok scored 17 points for Colby-Sawyer (12-5, 10-2 NAC).

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 75, THOMAS 73: Levi Barnes scored a game-high 37 points for the Terriers in an NAC loss to the Pilgrims in Henniker, N.H.

Owen Brown scored 12 points, while Adam Carsen added 11 points for Thomas (9-10, 7-5 NAC).

Robin Wilson led the Pilgrims (9-10, 6-6 NAC) with 30 points.

TRINITY 88, COLBY 79: Ryan Jann scored 27 points for the Mules in a loss to the Bantams in Hartford, Conn.

Connor O’Neil and Michael Loginoff each scored seven points for Colby (11-9, 3-4 NESCAC).

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

MAINE 3, NEW HAMPSHIRE 0: The Black Bears scored all three goals in the third period to beat the Wildcats in Durham, N.H.

Brooke Stacy, Hailey Browne and Audra Richards each scored goals for Maine (10-12-3). Goalie Meghann Treacy earned the shutout with 36 saves.

New Hampshire falls to 7-18-1.

TRINITY 2, COLBY 0: Jess Thulin had 51 saves for the Mules in a loss to the Bantams in Waterville.

Shannon Farrell and Emma Tani each scored goals for Trinity (11-5-1, 4-5-1 NESCAC).

Colby falls to 10-9, with a 3-9 NESCAC record.

SKIING

COLBY NORDIC RELAY FINISHES 6TH: The team of Olivia Amber, Silas Eastman, Amy Bianco and Calvin Wright gave the Mules a sixth-place finish at the Saint Michael’s Carnival in Huntington, Vt.

The Mules finished with a score of 109, with a time of 39:16.5

The team of Mackenzie Hitchcock, Jeff Tucker, Kim Bourne and Andrew Egger finished 17th with a time of 41:04.3.

COLBY FINISHES STRONG IN SLALOM: The Mules finished third with 93 points in the slalom at the Saint Michael’s Carnival in Huntington, Vt.

Mardi Haskell scored her sixth-straight top-10 performance with a two-run time of 1:50.47. Paige Whistler finished 11th with a time of 1:51.81, while Sierra Leavitt finished 14th with a time of 1:53.70.
